What Sets Phenom X Apart?

2026 marks the inaugural season of Phenom X — a new era for competitive flag football in Michigan. We’re proud to introduce a premier platform built to elevate the game through elite tournaments, high-level league play, and unforgettable experiences for athletes across the Great Lakes State.

Our mission is simple: bring top-tier competition to every corner of Michigan while continuing to grow the game and expand our reach year after year.

The 2026 Tour

This season, get ready for high-energy tournaments across the state with a unique Phenom X twist you haven’t seen before. We are kicking things off with our first three stops!   • Mid-Michigan: Sanford, Michigan

    • 📅 Dates: August 8 & 9th, 2026 (rain or shine)

    • 🌩️ If reschedule is needed due to lighting August 15th & 16th are alternative

    • 📍Sanford-Meridian High School (Home of the Mustangs)

    • ⏰Time: will be released as we near event and registration is closed

The Phenom X 5v5 Tournament

Forget the 8-week commitment. Phenom X is built for high-energy, high-stakes weekend-only tournament play. We bring the excitement of a full season into one incredible weekend of football. Limited spots available per location; you can reserve your spot with the $60 entry for your child or team reservation. You will also be entered into a drawing for sporting event tickets such as Tigers, Lions, Pistons, MSU, U of M and other collegiate programs. (pre-registration only). If the date/time does not work once the information is released, you will be refunded. Note: to be eligible for the tickets you must complete the tournament.

We believe in starting every journey with a win. Every athlete who registers for a Phenom X tournament receives an exclusive Welcome Gift at check-in!

  • The Gear: Professional flags.

  • The Bonus: A special "Welcome Kit" as a thank-you for being part of our inaugural season.

  • The Value: We’re committed to making sure every player feels like a "Phenom" from the moment they arrive.

Tournament at a Glance

  • Format: 5v5 Competitive Play (Fast-paced and high-scoring).

  • Ages: 10 & under, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16

  • Time Commitment: One weekend only!

  • Roster: Min of 5 players (no max limit).

  • Don’t have enough players for a 5-man team? It is recommended to form your own 5 player team to ensure proper playing time. We will do our best to accommodate and place you on a team or assemble a team of individually submitted players.

  • Investment: $50.00 per player (pre-register sale); $60.00 normal price! Additionally, pre-registered athletes get put into a drawing for sporting events professionally and at the collegiate level (pre-registration only). Our ask: take a picture at the event and post to your social media pages! We want to create memories for your athlete and family.

  • Customization: Create your own team's name and identity! (Rule: No derogatory name or pictures. You will be asked to change or remove if deemed negative). You may design and create your own jersey or apparel (Rated PG) or purchase a Phenom X tournament shirt.

  • Note: this is a co-ed tournament which can consist of all female team, all male team or mix of male and female. Every tournament can present challenges based on the number or registered players and teams. In certain circumstances we may have to alter age brackets. We evaluate participants and will align according to averages/age.

Play Your Way

  • The Playbook: We provide a professional playbook and strategic recommendations.

  • Strategy: Follow our playbook or run your own "backyard ball"—it’s your call!

  • Coaching: Teams need to have a coach or adult dedicated as a captain.

The Rules of the Game

  • The Race to 30: The first team to reach 30 points wins the match instantly.

  • The Clock: If time expires before 30 points, the team with the highest score takes the victory. Depending on participants games will be 45 minutes.
